Tetra Projects is an umbrella for collaborative experimental art and media projects with a focus on exchange between diverse artistic communities. Jeff Badger, Director of Tetra Projects, is an artist, curator, and educator based in South Portland, Maine. He has served as Gallery Director for Space Gallery and Whitney Art Works, both in Portland, Maine, and currently holds the position of Department Chair of Fine Arts at Southern Maine Community College. He has exhibited his drawing, sculpture, and installation work nationally and internationally.
In 2011 Jeff co-organized 6/6/6, an artist-created traveling group show that was exhibited in San Francisco, Santa Fe, Chicago, Detroit, Philadelphia and Portland, Maine. Tetra Projects launched in 2012 with a collaboration with the Hellenic Society of Maine -- Portes -- a show of works on paper by fifty Maine-based artists that was exhibited at Space Gallery in Portland and at Halim Bey Municipal Art Gallery in Portland's Sister City of Mytilene, Greece. Tetra Projects current proposal is a collaboration with Rubicon1 -- This Flat Earth / Esta Tierra Plana -- a group exhibition of works on paper by American and Spanish artists to be exhibited in Portland, Maine and Madrid, Spain in early 2013.
